Services

What goes wrong, and what it takes

Most of it is one of these four.

Leaks and burst pipes

Shut it off at the main and call. We will tell you what to do while we drive.

Drains

Slow, blocked, or backing up. Cleared and camera-checked if it keeps coming back.

Water heaters

Repaired, replaced, and hauled away. Tank or tankless, we will say which suits the house.

Repipes

Whole-house and partial, on older places still running galvanized.

Runs of copper and steel pipe
What is behind the wall

Two systems, and only one of them is under pressure.

  1. SupplyUnder pressure at all times. This is the one that floods a house.
  2. FixturesValves, traps and the parts that wear out on a schedule.
  3. Drain and wasteGravity only. Slope and venting decide whether it works.
  4. Water heaterThe single most common replacement in the house.

Straight answer

Repair it, or replace it?

We will tell you when a repair is the better buy. It is the cheapest thing we can say and the reason people call us back.

Repair makes sense when

  • One fixture or one run
  • Pipe is otherwise in good order
  • Heater under about eight years
  • Access is straightforward

Replace makes sense when

  • Repeat leaks on the same line
  • Galvanized pipe throughout
  • Heater over ten years or rusting
  • Repairs adding up past a swap
How it works

No surprises on the invoice.

  1. 1

    You call or send details

Tell us what is going on. Photos help more than anything.

  2. 2

    We come and look

$75 for the visit, credited toward the work if you hire us.

  3. 3

You get a price in writing

Before anything starts. It does not change unless the job does.

  4. 4

    We do the work

Cleaned up after, and you know who to call if anything is off.

$75

To come out and diagnose it.

Credited toward the work if you hire us. What the repair itself costs depends on what we find, and we will not guess at that over the phone.

Questions

The ones we get asked most.

What does it cost to come out?

$75, and it comes off the bill if you hire us. What the work itself costs depends on what we find, and we will not guess at that over the phone.

Are you licensed and insured?

License PL-30977, insurance current. We will send both before we start if you want them.

How fast can you get here?

Same day for emergencies, and out of hours you get a cell phone rather than a machine.

Do you come out to me?

Marlow, Kestrel Ridge, Fenwick, Cedar Bend and the towns around them. If you are on the edge of that, call and ask — the answer is usually yes.

What people say

Called at a bad hour, and glad they did.

Water everywhere at eleven at night. He talked me through the shut-off on the phone before he even left.

What we do most

The four calls we get every week.

If yours is not here, it is still probably something we do — call (555) 555-0148 and ask.

  • Water heater repair and replacement
  • Drain clearing and camera inspection
  • Burst pipes and emergency shut-offs
  • Fixture and faucet replacement

Call and get someone out.
